Job Title:         PIO Project Manager

The RFT Programme Integration Office is responsible for technology change delivery.  IT Programme Managers, Project Managers and Business Analysts (non BU) align to the business portfolios and deliver strategic change in support of RFT / Group objectives.
 
What will you be doing?
Responsible for the successful delivery of projects to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards.  The role typically requires managing three plus complex projects simultaneously
Manages project teams engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle. Delivery of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure
Manages the project end to end including the IT elements of delivery (where applicable)
Budget typically £1.5m.
Definition of business perspective on how the project deliverables will be delivered to the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc. (for small/medium projects, with VP oversight/review)
Creating and maintaining a resource demand profile for their project/workstream as part of planning and monitoring activities

Define and implement governance and reporting structure appropriate for the project
Runs small projects or workstreams on larger projects. Typically managing teams of up to 5 BAs
Typically faces off to AVP/VP/Director level stakeholders
 
What we’re looking for:
Moderate industry knowledge.
Holds knowledge of specialist areas that projects operate in.
Experience in managing Projects with medium complexity, high priority and multi location or cross functional teams
Project management - Foundation level accreditation  (Eg Prince 2) and/or Agile.
and/or equivalent training/ experience
Experience of managing l projects in a financial and regulated environment
Experience of working in a controlled projects environment
 
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of working on Risk, Finance and/or Treasury Projects
Experience of working in large financial services organisations / banks
Attention to detail
Reporting and management of escalations
Understanding of the Agile methodology and experience of working on Agile projects.
