My client is a large infrastructure and utilities company who service the public and private sector.
Working on major projects, they are a leader in the Utilities sector working across the Water, Gas, Power and Telecoms industry and work with some of the largest Utilities providers in the UK.
They are looking for a Planner to join their Shared Services team to ensure that internal and external client needs are understood and met in terms of works and site planning.
This is a full-time permanent role looking after the planning for shallow dig civil engineering projects for a large telecoms provider.
They run large projects upgrading fibre connections across the local area.
The role is based in Cambridge, it is for a 40 hour week and you will be responsible for the organisation, effectual contact, and management of your own client accounts.
Working on designs of works that will be submitted to clients
Coordinating pricing and quotations on plans, ensuring the correct rates are given
Work closely with clients whose accounts you look after, building a partnership between you
Effectively conveying planning and design details prior to works commencing
Ensure that client contract details are understood and considered by operations teams
Occasionally go on site visits in order to visualise and understand the works required.
Experience and skills required:
Able to effectively prioritise your own workload in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and customer-minded approach to planning
Able to manage stakeholders and their expectations
Experience in a planning role previously is essential
Experience in Utilities, Telecoms, Civil Engineering or similar is desirable
MS Office knowledge
Full UK Driving License
