Job Description

As the Interim Planning and Delivery Manager (Major works)- Major Works, the key responsibilities are as below:

- Lead on the management of the organisations stock condition data base including compliance data
- Plan and develop proposed budgets for capital works against the 5 year and 30 year business plan
- Delivery of disabled adaptations (Aids and Adaptations) works
- Manage ad-hoc Major Works projects
- Manage the stock condition survey process
- Monitor and track all capital expenditure against budgets on a scheme and annual basis ensuring early identification of over/under spending
- To manage surveyors and administrators in the delivery of the Property Acquisitions programme both within and outside the Borough The Successful Applicant

The successful Interim Planning and Delivery Manager (Major works) - Major Works will need the following:

- Demonstrate training in key areas such as Health & Safety, Contract Management and Partnering
- IT skills including the ability to utilise the full range of Microsoft software, including Excel, and PowerPoint and database systems (QL desirable
- Strong understanding of budget management
- Good technical knowledge around major works projects and ability to make informed decisions based upon specialist technical knowledge provided by others
- Experience of managing construction/refurbishment projects preferably within a social housing sector
- Experience of controlling and monitoring budgets
- Experienced in the management of capital works projects
- Experience of engaging with and consulting with all residents (including tenants and leaseholders) including both good practice and statutory obligations
- Experience in developing forward works programmes
- Be able to commute to North London daily
