Description

To provide Portfolio, Programme and Project resource co-ordination, support and analysis, ensure adherence to the methodologies, procedures and controls put in place, and create and analyse relevant reports on the resourcing of the change portfolio.


What Will You Do?


Owner of the Portfolio Resource Forecast


Tracking resources against forecast internal and external

Coordination point between projects and resource owners

Monthly reviews with project teams

Monthly reviews with resource owners GT, Data, Legal, Procurement

Updating resource forecast with project requirements

Input into quarterly forecast with finance and PMO

Input into the Resource Focus Group

Resource Estimation


Coordination point between projects and resource owners

Input into business cases ensuring all resource aspects considered

Input into yearly planning process co-ordination of estimated resource requirements and estimated resource costs Reporting

Highlight and report any discrepancies

Provide analysis for available resource

Recommendations for resource shortfalls

Regular (quarterly) reports to Operations and Change Group

Input into prioritisation discussions

Working with Resource Partners


Working with providers for all types of project resources permanent, Flex, Contract, interns etc

Briefing on contract requirements Practicus, Resource Solutions any other providers

Briefing with portfolio managers - Point of contact for procurement; contract management Resource Support

Point of contract for mandatory training coordination point between contract / flex resources to ensure training completed

Invoice administration

Onboarding


Oversight of onboarding for new resources

What You'll Need


Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, across all levels within the business

Ability to work across a range of different business functions building effective and lasting relationships

Strong problem-solving skills

Planning, analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail

Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently, using own initiative

Influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to constructively challenge

Planning, analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail.

Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, or share good practice with a continuous improvement mindset

Working knowledge of project management

Understanding of resource management

Experience in resource co-ordination

Evidence of high degree of quality controls, including reporting, documentation, audit trails planning and controlling

Experience of technology and standard desktop packages: MS/Excel, MS/Word, MS/Project, MS/PowerPoint, MS/Visio.
