PAT / Portable Appliance Engineer

Position Overview

Interserve is currently recruiting a Portable Appliance Engineer to carry out Portable Appliance Testing on our Defra, Weybridge site. You will continuously pursue high standards, embrace change, recognise improvement opportunities, learn from experience and able to react in an ever changing business environment and liaising with key stakeholders both within Interserve and the client team.

You will also be required to complete and submit all paperwork accurately and within the required timescale.This is a hands-on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required with the ability to plan and supervise their own workload.

Responsibilities


- The ideal candidate will comply with recognised procedures and systems, and strive to deliver the best quality possible.
- Complete works to a standard that is consistent within a high status environment
- To assist in carrying out risk assessments and safe working methods in relation to all work that is carried out.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- To carry out PAT testing to various equipment etc when requested by line manager.
- To carry and use a communication radio and other communication devices whilst on site.
- Ability to work in climb ladders/scaffold/mobile access equipment if required.
- To make themselves available for on-site and external training courses.
- To assist and be involved in continuous improvement programs for the site.
- Have the ability to work nights and weekend as required.
