Job Title: Powertrain Account Manager
Salary: £52,000-£62,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location: Open to any UK location
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,
18% bonus
Car Allowance - £6,960
Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


•The position of Powertrain Account Manager within Cat Defence is essential to identify, develop, maintain, and grow existing and new powertrain markets and sales opportunities within defined territory.
•The position requires a subject matter expertise in powertrain with a balanced blend of sales and business development skills plus technical knowledge. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills by creating and presenting to an audience that includes internal management, dealers, military vehicle OEMs, and Ministries of Defence to influence and effect sales.
•Develop and achieve powertrain sales forecasts; Develop and execute powertrain sales/business development strategies and marketing proposals (to include engine and transmission quoting); Influence bid specifications and evaluation criteria; Ensure compliance with all government contracting requirements; Coordinate customer support after the sale to ensure product satisfaction.
•Provide guidance on existing and potential customer sales support issues and improvement measures within governmental industry; Support contract administrators on products, discount changes, price increases, and deliveries.
•Market our business by participating or leading in district/dealer/customer events, conferences, and exhibitions.
•Interact with Cat districts and industry groups regularly to increase engagement
•Major stakeholder or team member on Cat Defence sales growth projects
•Frequent international travel will be required. 50% travel time. Must have appropriate travel documents.
Qualifications

Skills and Experience:


Basic Qualifications:


•Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or engineering preferred
•Significant industry experience demonstrating a progressive responsibility within powertrain job-related experiences; sales, account management, or product support
•Proven track record as a self-starter, with ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
•Excellent presentation skills


Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

•Prior field experience
•Prior sales experience to OEMs
•Demonstrated experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, such as Salesforce
•Excellent interpersonal skills to influence, coach and support colleagues from both inside and outside the organisation.
•Ability to travel internationally


Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:


•Prior sales experience to Military OEMs and Ministry of Defence
•Broad company knowledge and strong understanding of organisational operations
