Description

The marketing department leads on all aspects of business development and communications for Fieldfisher. We are a small team of about 23 people, but we are perfectly formed. We focus on revenue generation and reputation enhancement. We consider ourselves to be commercially minded, proactive & creative with a sense of humour. We are a growing team and we are looking for colleagues to work with us to shape the work we do and to help us achieve even greater success.


Responsibilities

Work with the business to identify and shape news that can be developed into communications campaigns

Collaborate extensively with the communications team to develop and deliver external and internal communications campaigns to contribute to the execution of the firm's business strategy and growth aspirations

Develop pro-active media relations plans and engage with journalists to sell in our experts to comment on business issues in 3 to 5 focus areas

Support and develop leadership communications

Help drive content development including thought leadership through the intranet, website and social media

Manage the legal directories process working with other members of the wider Marketing and Business Development team

Key Skills & Experience

Dynamic, energetic with a can-do approach

Exceptional investigative, communication and presentation skills

An avid reader, who is able to bring innovative thinking and creative ideas to everything we do

Established relationships with journalists, ideally within one or more of the firm's key sectors of technology, finance & financial services, energy & natural resources and life sciences sectors

Proven track record in reacting to and driving the news agenda internally and externally

Excellent networking skills and a good team player with ability to build strong networks across the firm

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Minimum Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Law, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related fields

Experience in business/corporate communications for at least four years ideally some of which should be in a client facing (agency) capacity

Significant knowledge, understanding or experience of the legal sector or another professional services sector

Significant experience in writing for media, web and print publications
