An exciting opportunity has arisen within our practice for an experienced, part time Practice Nurse / Treatment Room Nurse.

We are a friendly inner-city practice with a strong multi-disciplinary team. Together we care for just over 9200 patients over 2 sites. The GP team comprises of 3 young GP Partners who all have a special clinical and management interest, one Salaried GP, and 3 other GPs with whom we have long term locum arrangements. The Nursing team consists of a Nurse Manager, a Trainee Nurse Associate and a team of phlebotomists.

We are a really motivated bunch who put patient care at the heart of everything we do, whilst having robust systems for monitoring quality and compliance. We expect any new addition to the team to be of a similarly enthused mind-set. If you're hard-working and motivated, you'll fit in well with this us!

We provide a full range of primary health services under a GMS contract; services include minor surgery, minor injury, child health care, maternity services, phlebotomy, chronic disease management, women’s health, contraception services, and travel clinics.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse / Treatment Room Nurse to further support our current nursing team and help us develop our future nursing agenda. The successful candidate will deliver a high standard of patient care and use advanced autonomous clinical skills, enabling you to assess and manage chronic diseases, and diagnose and treat a wide variety of acute presentations. You will be competent in the usual Practice Nursing/Treatment Room skills, and ideally have Primary Care experience. We are an enhanced diabetes service provider and the Practice Nurse / Treatment Room Nurse will be an integral component of this. Crucially, having a list of which 14% of our patients are diabetic, an enhanced understanding of diabetes is essential.

We have an awareness of work-life balance and personal development needs and we can offer flexibility for the right candidate. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to further develop your skills and competencies and work alongside like-minded clinicians.

In return we can offer generous benefits, dependant on experience, which includes access to the NHS pension scheme and substantial annual leave entitlement. Salary will be dependent upon experience.

For further information or an informal chat please contact Narinder Paddam (Nurse Manager) or Dina Kotecha (Business Manager) on 0116 261 6233.
