Description

Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the position of Procurement Specialist for an initial 5 months in the Edinburgh location. Please note this will be split over two locations in Edinburgh. Candidates will need to have a basic disclosure in place, this role has also been deemed as inside of IR35.

You will be working as part of a shared service, providing procurement support to our client's business partners.

Leading on medium/high value, medium/high risk procurements, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, and optimising value for money, other duties will include:


- Gathering, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data and information to facilitate management decisions, planning and performance reporting


- Co-ordinating spend and savings information


- Working effectively with a range of stakeholders across the 2 customers


- Advising on legal, policy and other requirements pertaining to procurement


- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and suppliers, providing advice and guidance on procurement policies and procedures and best practice to stakeholders as required


- Use of relevant systems/tools in delivery of procurement projects, i.e. PCS, Quick, Quote, eRDM, Microsoft word/excel and the European Single Procurement Document (ESPD)


Essential Criteria


- Solid Knowledge and understanding of public procurement policy and procedures, i.e. the full end-to-end strategic procurement process, including sourcing and tendering, supplier management and negotiation


- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills


- Strong numerical and situational analysis skills


- Experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
