The Payment Gateway Team
You’ll be joining a growing team managing a portfolio of products under the Smartpay brand delivering new and innovative ways to pay, making it easier for retailers to accept a growing range of payment types and meeting end consumers’ expectations.
Plug-ins and APIs are playing an increasingly important role in enhancing functionality, connecting with shopping cart solutions and simplifying implementation effort. Additionally, consumers are continuing to lead retailers with their expectations about how they want to shop and pay for goods and services. Barclaycard has recognised the opportunities of leveraging and product managing these technologies and has brought them together under this role.
Overall purpose of role
Product Management responsibility for Alternative Payment Methods, plug-ins and APIs in support of the Senior Product Manager covering all aspects associated with product management including P&L management, roadmap development and the day to day management of the supplier relationship and the sales engagement process.
Key Requirements
What experience is needed?
Experience of the payments business would be advantageous, as would an understanding of ecommerce and the role of payment gateways.
Technical knowledge is not a prerequisite but previous experience of working with shopping cart plugins would be beneficial.

You’ll be a good communicator and confident in identifying key people to help you deliver
