Role Overview

To provide administrative and organisational support as required by the Cambridge Tax and Insolvency & Recovery teams. The post-holder will be part of the Professional Support team who provide administrative assistance to all departments across the practice.

To deliver high standard of administrative support and world class customer service in line with Price Bailey strategies, policies and procedures

Principle Responsibilities:

To draft and format correspondence

To print tax returns for client signature, together with associated schedules and covering letter

To file tax returns online

New client procedures including drafting forms, drafting engagement letters, setting up on Tax software, ID checks, downloading documents required for Anti Money Laundering purposes

To update trackers and workflow spreadsheets

Mail merges

To assist portfolio holder with drafting routine bills

To arrange team meetings, draft agenda, take minutes, circulate notes and action points

To arrange meetings with clients and contacts

To liaise with clients for outstanding information required

To book events and networking activities

Diary management as required

Database administration

To process expenses on behalf of the managers

Scanning and filing

To assist other team members as and when needed to help cover holiday/sickness cover and busy periods which may include the need to work from a different office

To work on ad hoc projects as directed

To undertake such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned from time to time

Person Specification:

Work based Competencies

Min of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics

Word, Powerpoint and Outlook to Intermediate Level

A minimum of 1 year’s administrative and secretarial experience

Excellent customer service and telephone manner

Good planning, organisational and time management skills

High standard of English

High standard of presentation skills and proof reading

High standard of typing accuracy

High standard of numeracy and literacy

Behavioural Competencies

A positive attitude and a strong desire to deliver high quality results

Professional appearance

Able to use good judgement and initiative, particularly in response to the prioritisation of deadline dependent work

Able to demonstrate reliability, discretion, confidentiality and flexibility
