The Project Development Engineer is responsible for all aspects of assigned engineering and technology project delivery. They will lead specification, design, manufacture and test activities and assure deliverables are in line with internal and external requirements.

The Project Development Engineer is accountable for the staged delivery of technology and engineering projects. Day to day work will involve; theoretical product design and concept evaluation, system analysis and integration, organisation & supervision of manufacturing trials, design of product test plans, creation of technical reports, hand over and close out documentation, presentation of findings and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
A significant portion of the Project Development Engineer's work load will be spent co-ordinating with various stake holders (internal and external manufacturing sites, internal and external test houses, commercial and academic project partners, other business functions). To this end, the Project Development Engineer must have a sound knowledge and experience of Project Management Techniques and an ability to schedule and manage complex projects which may be organised over multiple countries or continents.
The Project Development Engineer will be required to communicate effectively at all internal levels. E.g. delivery of Executive Summaries to senior management, contributing to technical debates with development colleagues and liaising and leading manufacturing and test activities. The Project Development Engineer may also be required to support customer facing discussions and presentations.
Degree Qualified in either of the following
Will be able to demonstrate Production / Manufacturing Experience, R&D Experience, NPD Experience with project experience in an Industrial/Engineering products environment.
Communication and time management skills.
IT Skills (Microsoft Project).
Demonstrate the ability to create and manage project time plans schedules.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Change management skills
Problem solving & conflict resolution skills
Ability to develop alternative actions quickly and effectively.
Knowledge of Project Management methods and skills.
Project Management Qualification.
