Project Manager

Here at Barclays, we have a new opportunity available for an ambitious and competent Project Manager. Based within our Change Technology department, you will play a key role amongst an already established and dedicated global team whose delivery strategy is underpinned by the energy, commitment and passion or our people, and we are clear on our common purpose: to help people achieve their ambitions. 

What will you be doing?

• Project manage software and regulatory project work streams within larger programmes within Technology
• Meet regulatory conditions and deadlines to ensure Barclays meets its commitments to regulations, remains compliant, does not suffer reputational or punitive damages in order to support its clients.
• Support the Programme Manager and provide the necessary updates to senior management and senior stakeholders
• Contribute to the delivery of the strategic objectives of Wealth Transaction Cycle through the provision of project management to the regulatory change technology programmes and projects.
• Provide direct line management
• Federate technology changes to platform teams with external vendors and manage the delivery of these changes across the project

What we’re looking for:

• A proven track record in delivering technology change working on a variety of relevant projects.
• A strong command of project management techniques – including the application of Agile combined with experience across the SDLC full lifecycle delivery in workflow and software applications.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
• Able to demonstrate innovative problem solving, ability to challenge the status quo and drive beneficial change.

Skills that will help you in the role:

• The successful candidate will be able to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks whilst having an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• The successful candidate will be able to speak coherently and commercially to the business.
• Delivering and coordinating on a global scale

Where will you be working?

This role will be based in our Aurora house Glasgow office; a stones throw away from Glasgow Central Train Station and the heart of Glasgow.
