Our client is looking for a Project Manager, who will be responsible for introducing new projects into Production on time and in budget, Engaging with the customer at all stages of the program, Providing Production with Engineering support and liaise with Tool Room and Maintenance functions regarding repairs/modifications/improvements/new equipment.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Producing Project plans and trackers and co-ordinate the team to ensure all timescales are met (APQP format).
To ensure all processes are introduced effectively with supporting documentation for all aspects of the program (Work Instructions, Packaging Instructions)
Working with Process Technicians and Quality Team manage Tool Trials to progress new components through all stages of manufacture and development.
To ensure Manufacturing Production Trials (MPT’s) / Run at Rates are planned and carried out in a documented and timely manner.
To ensure all Bill of Materials (BOM’s) are accurate and up to date.
To ensure associated equipment and new processes are in place for start of production.
To qualify for this vacancy, the candidate must be:
Preferably degree qualified - ideally in Engineering discipline.
Having Good knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO9001 is desirable.
Working knowledge of mould tooling, assembly jigs and fixtures.
Having the Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Customer facing. Proactive and enthusiastic.
Ability to multitask and co-ordinate a cross functional NPI team.
Computer literate (MS Project, Word, Excel, Power point).
Effective communication skills.
