Quality Coach - Is the quality of testing, software engineering and team output at the heart of what you do? Do you love coaching and mentoring your team and want to take a step-up?
If yes, then I have the ideal challenge for you with the opportunity to work with an incredibly skilled and growing Engineering function working with the latest technologies to build a market-disrupting product!
We are embarking on a journey to capitalise on the UK's largest used car retail market, which is worth a staggering £50bn+ a year. Being a fully-backed start-up, we have incredibly exciting and ambitious plans with a target to own more than 5% of the market - realistically we are looking to hit 20% (the current highest ownership is 3%)!
Now is the time to join us. We're going through an extraordinary period of growth and we are looking for a Quality Coach to drive best practice within our Software Engineering teams as we create them, ensuring that they are operating to the highest standard in terms of their processes, tooling and testing.
As our Quality Coach, you will work directly with our Software Engineers and support them throughout the full software development lifecycle from requirements to release.
You will mentor our Quality Engineers who will perform hands-on, risk-based exploratory testing and you will ensure they are sharing best-practice amongst the teams.
We will look to you to support our Engineering team in creating a culture of engineering excellence and quality mindset.
We embrace the use of TDD and don't just talk about it, we actually do it!
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience within automation testing
- Written test scripts and frameworks in the past (using any OO language)
- Previously coached Software Engineers on quality and best-practice testing approaches
- Previously mentored a team of Quality Engineers, QA Testers or QA Analysts
- A strong understanding and commercial experience of TDD
- Implemented improvements to testing processes, tooling, strategy to enhance quality
