The job holder will be responsible for carrying out the following:
To program in 2D and operate the CMM in support of the Mechanical Inspector.
Critical dimension inspection and documentation, assembly checks of implants.
To carry out inspection and release of custom/patient specific implants.
First off inspection of batch work and 100% inspection of completed batch work.
Identify and document all nonconformities notify appropriate staff.
Completion of all relevant documentation for each batch/job card processed.
Calibration control of all measurement equipment, maintain calibration records.
Work within safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
To undertake training and development as and when necessary.
Perform other duties detailed by Company Management, as and when necessary.
To liaise with the Inspection Supervisor over inspection issues
To ensure compliance with all relevant quality system documentation.
Qualifications, skills and desirable experience
Qualified to a minimum City and Guilds craft course or recognised engineering apprenticeship. Ideally from a quality control background with a minimum five years’ experience, the post requires a highly focused person with a keen eye for detail, who can work well under minimal supervision. Good communication skills along with clear and legible handwriting and the ability to follow verbal instruction are essential.
As a team player you should be able to work closely with other colleagues, contributing useful ideas and suggestions. High levels of self-motivation and the ability to achieve goals along with a willingness to learn are core values required.
