We are looking for a regulator and external auditor to work for us in Knutsford, the ideal candidate will own the definition and management of processes internal to Technology to ensure consistent engagement with Regulators and External Auditors.
Co-ordinate, monitor, review and report on regulator engagement across technology, globally
Leverage BU or regionally specific reg engagement teams where they exist today
Ensure consistent narrative across all engagements, liaising with regulatory relations to govern how management updates are provided to regulators
Provide oversight on closure of regulatory commitments
Review all materials provided from technology to regulators
Support the annual SOX audit process
Act as senior contact for external audit engagement, maintain oversight over assessment process
Facilitate consistent engagement for external auditors across Barclays business and functional technology teams
Act in liaison with SOX Finance team to ensure consistent engagement with external auditors
Provide oversight on closure of external audit commitments
Effectively communicate with and influence CIOs and other senior leaders within Barclays Technology and BU/Function aligned-teams.
Ability to communicate with non-technical experts by translating relevant information into understandable terminology
Presents concepts to high level audiences or in pressure situations (i.e., to influence key individuals)
Creates communications to match the needs of a particular audience in an effort to influence or educate them
Detailed knowledge of financial services industry and banking technology
Experience in managing within technology control frameworks and approaches; detailed knowledge of technology controls
Experienced with risk and control environments, industry standards and technology regulation globally
Has provided management oversight of SOX assurance processes, with experience of interacting with external auditors and working alongside counterparts in Finance to support SOX processes
Strong experience in communicating with regulators, setting communications strategy and ensuring alignment of senior staff
Comfortable operating with business unit CIOs and MDs across the risk and control functions within the bank
Analytical but with bias to action
Highly driven, dynamic, action oriented
Collaborative, able to drive to agreement across varying stakeholders/interests
