Job Title: Release and Environment Analyst
Location: Glasgow
Do you have strong Unix/Linux/Windows knowledge or experience? Do you want to learn DevOps tools and skills? Do you want to redefine the future of finance? Then we want you to join us as a Release and Environment Analyst. As part of the team, you will be working on live environment release, management and support across several functions in Data Integration services. It’s a real opportunity to specialise in the DevOps toolkit, and you get to be a part of one of the biggest tech rollouts in Barclays. 
What will you be doing?
Carry out releases /deployments in pre-production environments with self-service deployments and by facilitating deployments from external teams on multi-platform systems.
Proactively checking for environment issues to ensure 100% environment availability and fix all environments issues that are reported, which may entail involving infra/GTIS support.
Maintaining a record of actual deployments and other knowledge contents and provide the stats for weekly KPIs that are consistent and adhering to EaaS standards. 
Ensuring tech lead and/or Release Lead and users are notified about system breakdowns and advance Environments outage.
Maintaining Application and infrastructure version details up-to date across the environment landscape and perform upgrades of environments as required.
Performing timely upgrades of environments.
Preserving and enhancing the knowledge base of release management activities.
Be able to provide and design AWS patterns and support Openshift environments
What we’re looking for:
Good Knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows systems.
Hands on with DevOps implementation and tools like Jenkins, Git, Nexus and code quality as well as testing tools like Sonarcube and Checkmarx.
Good Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change Management Tools such as Jira/Nolio/Servicenow/Git/Nexus/Clearcase/Jenkins etc.
Technical knowledge on scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc
Skills that will help you in the role:
Extensive hands-on or in-depth knowledge on AWS and tools like Chef and terraform
Hands-on knowledge on Unix systems
Experience of Application or Technical Support.
Good Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change management process (ITIL).
