Everyone wants a purposeful job - to do something really meaningful. At Mencap, we can give you that. You’ll have opportunities to develop as a person, colleague, leader and activist.

You’ll make new friends and feel inspired to reach your potential. We’ll ask a lot of you - but you’ll get back so much more. With us, it’s never ‘just a job’.

Job Description

We are looking for proactive and passionate Relief Support Workers to join our friendly and welcoming team in our supported living service in Letchworth. The best thing about being a Relief Support Worker means it gives you the flexibility to work the shifts that will be suitable for you so you can fit in work around studying, family or another job!

If you consider yourself reliable, enthusiastic and forward thinking we would like you to consider joining us as a Relief Support Worker for people with a learning disability.

You will be supporting six adults with a learning disability who share a supported living bungalow in Letchworth. You will be assisting individuals to do just the same things you and others do. As a Relief Support Worker for Mencap you need to be able to meet the needs of those that we support as well as be encouraging and resourceful. You will help them to lead the life they choose and very much deserve.

You will also be expected to provide the people we support with personal care as and when required - therefore, we will be looking to employ someone who is more than happy to carry this out.

There are various shift patterns available to choose from between 08.00 - 22.00 and waking nights which are 22.00 - 09.00.
