Full Time (Job share considered):The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7.
The salary range will be £35,328 - £42,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The ERC-funded Smart Geometry and the ERC-funded Proof-of-Concept projects are developing mathematical frameworks and computational tools to extract, represent, manipulate, and utilize relations among 3D model collections and linking them to user-guided design.
The post-holder will be required to carry out research in the area of shape analysis including designing and running experiments, recording, analysing and writing up the results (as part of the Smart Geometry research team). The Research Fellow is expected to lead research and development of a sketch-guided 3D CAD modelling framework.
The post holder is expected to lead research exploring sketch-based design leading to retrieval and manipulation of CAD in order to develop scalable frameworks for interactive and plausible reconstructions of complex man-made objects.
This role is funded for 1 year in the first instance from 1 September 2019.
The candidate is expected to have research background in Computer Graphics, Meshing and Parameterization, Sketching, Geometric Modeling and Acquisition, and Machine Learning. The candidate is expected to publication record at top tier venues like Siggraph/Siggraph Asia and having a suitable research background.
