Man Group, one of the world's largest independent alternative investment managers, is partnering with Women Returners to launch the 2019 Returner programme for a professional who has taken an extended career break and now wants to return to the workforce.
During the three to six month programme, you will work on professional assignments based on your skills and interests, and will benefit from coaching through the transition period from Women Returners, together with internal mentoring and network access. At the end of the programme, there will be the possibility of a permanent role with the organisation.

Business Unit: Operations
Operations at Man is primarily responsible for the accuracy of the official financial records of the funds to support the NAV production process as well as the integrity of the investment book of records (IBOR) maintained internally. The London based team support the Investment Management business Man AHL, Man GLG, Man FRM and MSL and key functions include: Product Control, Fund Accounting, Client Operations, Fund Administration Oversight and Fund Financial Reporting. Supporting the growth of the business by managing product driven change across operations is a key responsibility of Operations.
Desired Skills: The diversity of roles in Operations means we can consider a range of backgrounds. Proven experience in at least one of the key functions listed above is required this could be within Investment Management or an alternative financial institution. Strong focus and appreciation of operational risk is essential.
Business Unit: Finance
Finance models, analyses and reports financial information: to the business and Group Board (to aid better decision making); to the Company's equity and debt holders (to meet their requirements for investing in the Company); and to regulators (to fully comply with regulatory rules and requirements). We are a team of 70 operating in a dynamic environment with a focus on making best use of technology to deliver our work efficiently.
Desired Skills: A fast learner with prior experience of working in a finance department and/or a part qualified/ qualified accountant ideally in the financial services industry.
Timing & Salary
It is envisaged that the start date will be Autumn 2019.
The successful candidates will be paid a salary at a competitive market rate.
