Job Title : CDO Governance, Assurance, and Reporting
Location : Glasgow
 
 he CDO has strategic accountability for the provision of Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Enterprise Reference Data Management, Data Architecture and associated Data Operations services across Barclays, to drive the adoption, execution and evaluation of compliance, in relation to the Group Data Management Policy and Standards.  The Risk, Finance and Treasury Data Management Office will provide these services to the Risk, Finance and Treasury Functions (RFT) under leadership of the RFT CDO.
 
  
The Governance, Assurance, and Reporting role has accountability for the creation, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of the processes and artefacts required to ensure business Data Domains and Projects are established and operated in a manner which complies with the Group Data Management Standards and Policies.

We are looking for people who primarily understand Risk and Control and Governance. Ideally you will have some knowledge/exposure to the governance around data. You might be from an Operational Risk background or an IT Auditor from practice or from another large institution. You must have an interest in Data and the work involved.

   
What will you be doing?  
  
•Create and maintain the required data sources to support effective governance and management
•Understand, document, build, and run the reporting required to support stakeholders and decision makers
•Support the coordination of change management activities including the identification of changes, impact assessment and communication with relevant areas impacted
•Support the creation of training material and coordinating user training for Data Governance tools & materials Management of the annual attestations
•Manage risks and issues and ensuring appropriate escalation  
•Work closely with Domain Experts and CDOs within Business Units (BUs) as well as specialists with RFT Technology and Operations functions
•Support the data governance and quality assurance activities
•Provide project updates and report on progress of data remediation
 
What we’re looking for:
 
•Data Analysts/Data Analytics professionals from any industry
•Governance, Assurance, and/or Project Management experience
•Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality experience
•Preparing reporting and workshop or forum materials
 
Skills that will help you in the role:
 
•Experience of data technology platforms
•Reference or Master Data background
•Understanding of external regulatory environment and data related regulation
•Ability to influence and build value add relationships with senior stakeholders and peers
