Job Title: Risk Finance Treasury Data Lead- VP
Location: Glasgow

The Data Lead position is an integral role for the delivery of Group Data strategy within the Risk, Finance and Treasury Chief Data Office. It will focus on all aspects of the data strategy, supporting initially the delivery of data lineage and control related artefacts as well as supporting strategic data transformation programmes as part of Business as Usual activity. This is a growing team and is key to supporting one of the largest data projects we have committed too. You will manage a team of 4 and that will steadily grow as the business grows. This is a unique opportunity for a Data professional to make a significant difference in the business
What will you be doing?
•Work closely with subject matter experts within the business, technology and operations functions to ensure compliance to the data standards
•Work alongside other Chief Data Office teams to ensure consistency of approach and front-to-back lineage being delivered
•Support data governance and quality assurance activities
•Support business in managing existing and new Data Domains, sub-data domain and Critical Data Elements under the RFT ownership
•Engage with Accountable Executives and SMEs across Functions, Business and Programs to drive the creation of Data Models for core Data Groups/Entities within Barclays
•Assist with strategic decisions on the frameworks and data modelling structures
•Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in each stakeholder population
•Identify areas of opportunity to avoid duplication of data and drive data adoption from golden source
What we’re looking for:

•Strong understanding of Data Management concepts with ability to identify and solve data issues
•Excellent communication skills and comfort operating amongst senior management teams
•Must be willing to be hands-on for complex data analysis efforts
•Experience in Risk, Finance and/or Treasury areas of corporate and/or investment banking
Skills that will help you in the role:

•Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/BEng)
•Experience in Data Management
•Strong communication, presentation and management skills
•Knowledge of Project Lifecycle methods (e.g. Software Development Lifecycle, Agile) and understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
