Job Title: RFT PIO Project Manager
The Chief Operating office for Risk, Finance and Treasury supports the effective and cost-efficient execution of Risk, Finance and Treasury functions through the provision of world class technology, change, data and information. This support extends to all the functions that roll up to the Group Finance Director and the Group Chief Risk Officer. The Programme Integration Office (PIO) represents the unification of our technology change experts across RFT to deliver the strategic change agenda. The PIO has four dimensions that are functionally and business aligned, supported by shared capabilities working to deliver integrated and consistent solutions to stakeholders. The four dimensions are: Functional and Business-aligned capabilities, PIO shared capabilities, Programme delivery and Regional leadership.
What will you be doing?
The purpose of the role will be to successfully deliver projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards.
Delivery of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure
Management of project teams (direct or indirect) engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
Support the PIO lead in executing portfolio governance and controls
Works with PIO and CIO leads to help define and implement aspects of the strategy and vision
Translates gaps between current state architecture and strategy into a project plan/roadmap
Ensures that sufficient level of detail project and quality plans are prepared and maintained for complex projects, providing regular and accurate reports on progress against plan to stakeholders as appropriate
Ensure project dependencies and assumptions are factored into the planning process.
Ensures that there is a business perspective on how the project deliverables will be delivered to the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc.
Initiates and manages the business implementation plan, including all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new technical components and technologies or process/organisation changes.
Ensures that stakeholder mapping & stakeholder plan is comprehensive and considers internal and external stakeholders
Develops and manages one or more defined communication channels which facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders for multiple work streams/projects.
What we’re looking for:
Good Financial industry knowledge, experience of working with Risk, Finance and Treasury functions would be advantageous
Able to build up good knowledge of specialist areas that projects operate in.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation to Senior level stakeholders.
Understanding of Business and Technology Change
Project Management - Practitioner level accreditation (eg Prince 2, PMI, APM)
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience with managing projects of medium - large complexity, business critical and cross-functional teams spanning multiple regions and functions
Experience of working within a large corporate environment
