Software Asset Management/Software Licensing - Business Development Manager


Up to £70,000 + Uncapped OTE + Benefits

My client is the global leader within software asset management (SAM), cloud deployment and volume licensing. They are experts in optimising client ROI based on complex technology issues across HW / SW and cloud services.

They are looking to recruit an exceptional Business Development Manager into the team to work as an overlay selling their market leading SAM services.

Role Objective & Key Responsibilities

Initiate (Hunt) new customer relationship
Manage (Farm) existing Customers relationship
Orchestrate the internal teams engagement with clients
Build strong customer relationships up to C-level, using management team when relevant
Expose the customer to the entire portfolio of offerings, (SAM, Licensing, cloud etc.)
Ensure all prospects and existing customers are visited periodically
Drive customer satisfaction
Start with selling SAM as the foundation of the sales cycle
Use licensing optimization as a SAM Service to sell
Pitch / Attach SAMaaS / SAM Program to every licensing Sales offering
Sell Software Licensing through a 'licensing optimization consultancy services approach"
Gain first Microsoft, IBM and Oracle software business within clients
Engage and develop good relationships with peers at publishers, deliver account and territory reviews when relevant
Ensure all Software incentives and eligible deal registration fees/rebates are registered
Attend all training courses as required
Ensure your knowledge remains up to date on Cloud & Licensing ISV offerings
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
3 years' experience selling SAM related services with proven record of target achievement
Knowledge of Software Asset Management related subject matter
Highly motivated and self-starting individual
Must be articulate in both verbal and written communication

Preferred Professional Qualifications:

Whilst preference will be given to candidates who can show relevant experience and a successful track record, formal training in any of the following will be a distinct advantage.

A recognised sales technique (e.g. SPIN)
Microsoft Exam 70-673: Designing, Assessing and Optimising Software Asset Management (SAM)
Microsoft Exam 70-671:Designing and Providing Microsoft Volume Licensing Solutions to Small and Medium Organisations
Microsoft Exam 70-672: Designing and Providing Microsoft Volume Licensing Solutions to Large Organisations
