Becoming a Security Business Partner with the Smart Data Communications Company (DCC):

Location - Manchester or Ruddington (Occasional travel to other DCC sites will be required)

What you will do:


- The Security Business Partner will: Build relationships with Service Provider Delivery and Security Teams (SPs)
- Work with DCC programme/project teams and Security Assurance to support the delivery of SP requirements


- Define the scope of the technical engagement with SPs
- Work with the Technical Operations Centre (TOC) and Security Operating Centre (SOC to collate data requirements to be passed to the SPs
- Liaise with SP Delivery and Security Teams to extract relevant security data for user cases seen/predicted/hunted in the TOC
- Raise change requests where necessary, in order to make the data available to the TOC/SOC
- Identify gaps in current designs or delivery
- Identify where SP does not have a capability
- Indicate areas of initial, urgent and prioritised action
- Define process requirements (i.e. not the full processes) to support this model
- Create indicative costs for delivery
- Security Input to technical meetings across SPs and the business
- Assist in the design of security controls with a focus on information security's best practices, design, and implementation.
- Be part of annual information security risk assessments, service specific risk assessments, audits on all networks and systems, forensic and data security analyses, network infrastructure risk assessments, and reporting on security status and incidents.
- Serve as a security SME
- Help ensure the DCC and its suppliers meet all applicable regulations

Your experience will include:


- The Security Business Partner must have experience of complex environments. This will preferably include experience of outsourced environments, Group/Market (hub and spoke) organisations, systems integrators.
- They will be able to understand requirements from the TOC/SOC and to clearly express them to Service Partner Delivery & Security Teams.
- Must have excellent stakeholder management
- Strong technical experience in the information security field
- Expereince of incident response, analysis and escalation
- Experience with forensics, chain of custody
- Experience with security tooling (IDS/IPS,EDR,DLP SIEM etc)
- Assist in the design of security controls with a focus on information security's best practices, design, and implementation.
- Be part of annual information security risk assessments, service specific risk assessments, audits on all networks and systems, forensic and data security analyses, network infrastructure risk assessments, and reporting on security status and incidents.
- Serve as a security SME.

Desirable Skills


- Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework is beneficial
- CISSP or working towards this or similar certification
