The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

To be the perfect candidate for this SEMH Teaching Assistant role it is essential that you have experience working with children with extremely challenging behaviour. This does not need to be in a school setting however you must be able show strong behaviour management skills as well as being able to build a strong, trustworthy relationship with the students. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support students on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You must be patient strong and adaptable.

This SEMH school is based in Hillingdon and caters to a wide range of students aged 11-19 years that have SEMH and so behaviour is very challenging across the school. This SEMH school allows their students to follow the national curriculum however sometimes can be tailored to the needs of the individuals.
