Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity in a local SEN school?
ABC Teachers part of TES are currently looking to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant for a role in a Special Educational Needs school in the Lichfield area. This will be an ongoing, full time role, beginning in January.
The students you will be working with are of 5 to 16 years of age and have a range of learning difficulties, these mainly being ASD and more profound and complex needs. Due to this, we ask that the ideal candidate has proven experience working with children who have additional needs, holds strong communication abilities and can be adaptable in the role.
This is a lovely school setting where you will be working with an experienced team of Teachers and support staff who are all passionate in providing the best education for their students.
You will be assisting the class teacher with tasks as well as looking after the students both 1:1 and in small groups.
The ideal candidate –
· Teaching Assistant Qualification
· Recent experience within an SEN environment
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
What to do next:
To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront and add this to the Update Service. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you.
We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
