I am recruiting on behalf of a fantastic construction business who merged on their own over 5 years ago. They have gone from strength to strength in their business, winning many awards they are proud of. Their southern division is having a re-structure, and they require a managing estimator to join the business. They have an exceptional reputation and are awarded for their graduate programme scheme, meaning they offer people the chance to learn and grow with the business. This business also has an outstanding charity partnership which they give employees the chance to contribute yearly in to certain events and plans. This will be part of the southern division which is based in the New Forest region.

You will be expected to work Monday-Friday as the senior estimator. This particular role will be part of their civils sector. Day to day duties include: fully understand tender documentation across whole suite of projects within the sectors, provide initial accurate assessment for all elements, engage with contracts managers and other experts, understand the build requirements and techniques, understand construction programming and planning and develop mitigation strategies as appropriate. The main purpose of this role is to assist those less experienced within the function to achieve success and to lead the division within estimating to provide best net cost and margin, to win work in line with business strategy.

Must have extensive knowledge within the building sector in construction, must have extensive knowledge in estimating, represent company in professional manner, encourage team to improve productivity and HSQE standards, understand personal responsibility to comply with company policies and have an enthusiastic approach to work. They ideally need somebody to hit the ground running and really help improve the business further with new ideas.
