Purpose of the role

The Senior Category Finance Analyst will be part of the Finance Team in Uxbridge who support the Meals category (Philadelphia and Dairylea).

This role is a key business partner to the Marketing team and will give you the opportunity to gain broad experience, not only within the category but also within sales finance and across various projects. The role offers a lot of scope to really stand alone and make a big difference within the team.

Main responsibilities:

Finance business partner to A&C budget managers, leading on the Meals budget for UK & Ireland.

Work with Marketing and Sales to produce P&L projections and financial rationales for key category projects, including new product development.

Challenge all functions to deliver the most robust projection possible.

Influence stakeholders to prioritise profitability and exceed hurdle rates.

Run established actuals reporting and i dentify where bespoke reports and analysis would add value on a month by month basis.

Review business performance and demonstrate curiosity by investigating anomalies and gaps to target.

Manage month end and forecasting process.

Work with the planning team to push post promo evaluation agenda to continuously improve our promo delivery.

Business partnering with the Ireland Country Manager to provide financial insights and work on any Ireland specific projects.

Candidate requirements:

Degree in Finance or Business.

CIMA preferred.

Proven commercial Finance experience gained within a commercial environment.

Proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously.

Accuracy while working at pace.

Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence and challenge.

Ability to translate financial information to non-finance business partners.

Team player.

Excellent communication skills.
