Senior Java Developer

Full time position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer who will support the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.


- Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
- Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts Skills:

- Good experience in performance tuning of java applications, handling high data volumes and java memory management.
- Excellent knowledge of Core Java especially Collections, I/O, Multi-threading and Generics.
- RDBMS – SQL Server/ Oracle
- Hands on experience in test Driven development and automated testing tools like JUnit, Cucumber.
- Experience in source code control systems, such as STASH/GIT.
- Tools – Well versed with Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy.
- Very high development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment.
- Adaptable, resourceful, well-organised team player with a strong work ethic.
- Strong written and oral communication skills Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
