About the role

Policing at the University of Derby sits within the School of Law, Criminology and Social Sciences which is widely recognised for its excellent teaching credentials, high levels of student satisfaction, low staff student ratios, and high employability rates for our graduates. We are looking to expand our staffing team and seek high calibre individuals to deliver modules primarily across our undergraduate and post graduate Policing programmes. We have a strong research presence in all our subject areas, and are particularly interested in attracting individuals who can contribute to REF 2020 and who have expertise in Police Leadership. Our research and scholarly work is very much focused on having impact, which is further strengthened by our strong links with industry and practice.

We are therefore looking to attract the very best talent to come and contribute to our future growth and share in our exciting future. We are looking to appoint experienced and enthusiastic academics who can work with us to help us achieve our ambitions.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
