Are you the person we are looking for? We are looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst to join our global team of experienced tax professionals. As Senior Tax Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring BlackBerry remains compliant with tax legislation in the jurisdictions in which we operate.Crucially, you will provide influential customer service focused support to internal stakeholder groups enabling business decisions that maximize enterprise value across the EMEA region. In this role, you will: Prepare & assist in the preparation of the EMEA corporate tax compliance, planning and process improvement initiatives. Manage various tax reporting, tax compliance and project related deadlines. Understand and assess the impact of local country taxation developments and their impact on BlackBerry. Prepare tax working papers that support BlackBerry’s year-end tax provision process. Analyse and prepare working papers to support BlackBerry’s transfer pricing methodologies. Provide support to external providers to ensure completion of local tax returns as required. Maintain an awareness of all significant tax changes which impact the region and work with the team and external advisors to proactively manage these changes. Oversee the HMRC field visit for VAT on a needed basis. Provide support, analysis and reporting for taxation audits and special projects. Collaborate with local finance and tax colleagues in the management of tax risk in EMEA You will have; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent experience in Accounting or Tax. Corporate income tax experience preferably gained with an accounting firm in a corporate environment. Demonstrated knowledge of tax systems within EMEA (outside of the UK). Previous hands-on UK corporate tax experience Understanding of tax provision is highly desirable US GAAP experience would be beneficial VAT experience would be desirable Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Advanced skills in Excel It would be great if you are ACA, CTA, CIMA or ACCA qualified but this isn’t essential.
