OUR HIGHWAYS BUSINESS

There has never been a bettertime to join our family, in particular our Highways business where we have seenimpressive growth over the last few years achieving tremendous success underthe CDF Framework and Midlands Highway Alliance (MHA) amongst other localauthority frameworks. Right now, we are poised for continued growthsuccessfully retendering for the MHA strengthened with additional success onthe Regional Delivery Partnership in collaboration with Highways England in theSouth West and the Eastern regions. We’ve secured a strong pipeline of workover the next few years and in a really strong position to capitalise furtherso now is the time to update that CV and come and join us, exciting times areahead!

THE PROJECT

King , Grantham is ourlatest scheme awarded under the Midlands Highways Alliance and the SouthernRelief Road leads to the King Distribution park. Phase one saw thecompletion of a roundabout off the B and a road along Tollmache Roadleading to a second new roundabout. Phase Two will join the B to the Atrunk road via a grade-separated junction worth in excess of £m with phasethree commencing in the spring of . The final phase of the project will seethe construction of a m span viaduct spanning the river Witham interfacingwith the East Coast Mainline as well as a kv transmission line. The projectwill also see km of road linking with the A upgraded involving massearthworks and ground improvement.

YOUR ROLE

As a Site Engineer, you will provide setting out and engineeringcontrol on site.

You will;

·Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.

·Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities andprovide information to operatives and subcontractors.

·Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.

·Undertake material reconciliations.

·Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.

·Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.

·Produce D & D site sketches.

·Support in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken inaccordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-builtrecords.

·Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.

·Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.

·Control and minimise waste on site.

·Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovationson site.

·Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of andstored securely when not in use

YOU

We are looking for passion and a commitmentfor delivering excellence. If you have a solidexperience with earthworks inlcuding setting out as well as managing the subcontractors then get intouch as I want to hear from you. Obviously, you’ll have the usual good stuffsuch as an HNC or degree in civil engineering and valid CSCS, but we arelooking for more than just that-we are looking for the right person to worksafely, motivate and manage the subcontractors on site and to strive forexceptional levels of performance, if this is you, call me today!
