Role: Social Media & Communications Executive, Heist Studios
Reporting to: Social Media & Communications Manager
Location: Clerkenwell, London
We are one of the UK's fastest growing DTC businesses and frankly - the only one in the world that's using real science to engineer better underwear. With a current team of 23 based in London we have ambitious plans for international growth.
Unimpressed with how the underwear industry portrayed women, we assembled a team of the most celebrated (and mischievous) garment innovators to take it on. By looking at how people move, actually move, we make garments that are break-through in their design, manufacturing techniques and materials. For our first product, we reinvented the humble pair of tights. Then, we took on shapewear.
We're backed by some of the biggest investors in fashion and technology, and on a busy day, we can sell a pair of tights every 15 seconds. Even our tube adverts caused a scandal. Most importantly, we have tens of thousands of customers who genuinely love Heist and the products we develop and ship around the world.
The Social Media & Communications Executive will manage PR agency relationships and drive influencer outreach and partnerships on social media platforms, including Instagram and Twitter, through considered communications and gifting.
More specifically, your role will include:
Day-to-day management of rigorous influencer outreach on social media platforms, predominantly Instagram
Tactful and compelling delivery of Heist messaging to on-board influencers aligned with the brand
Organise and execute seamless influencer gifting strategy and follow ups
Share insights and data analysis to identify influencers who have effectively moved the dial, and those who did not perform/convert for the brand
Save down and file organic user-generated-content from influencers gifted towards social media content plan
Social media follow strategy; identify and engage both new and existing influencers (micro and macro) by following those truly aligned with Heist
Identify talent, events, initiatives and opportunities that Heist could leverage to engage influencers organically (for example, gifting ahead of Fashion Month)
Day-to-day management of Heist PR agencies to maintain these external relationships, steer new opportunities and evaluate ROI
Media monitoring - on a global level - to identify and communicate brand opportunities
Knowledge of, and confidence in, social media platforms to ensure best practice and connectivity
Confident in articulating brand & product messaging across social media
Solid experience in ideation with a demonstrated ability to generate and share creative concepts
Experience of working with the media, executing proactive communication strategies, feeding into campaigns and proactively identifying opportunities
Some experience of working in a press office or communications team, with good knowledge of national broadcast, print and online media
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Good organisation skills and time management
Collaborative attitude and enthusiasm
Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate vital information
We are a diverse bunch of people at Heist. That said, there are some characteristics we always look for:
You deeply care about Heist's mission; you have a desire to build something iconic, that will disrupt an industry, and women's lives.
You thrive on challenge and change; you naturally gravitate to the hardest questions first and love thinking differently to solve them.
You're biased towards action and you're happiest when you're ‘getting stuff done'.
You're open, positive & straightforward. You're not afraid to stand up for your convictions, even when it's hard to do so.
You delight in your colleagues' successes and thrive on your failures; you grasp any opportunity for learning and constantly seek to improve.
