Social Worker Adults Team - permanent- £31,371 - £36,876 depending on experience

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is a unitary authority based in the heart of the town centre offering traditional seaside living that makes it a great place to live and work.

The Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative professional Adults Social Worker to join their friendly and well established team in order to support citizens across Southend-on-Sea (including out-of-borough cases) with the aim to offer the appropriate support in the right place at the right time.

Your new role
The council are looking for a dynamic social worker with the necessary skills, experience and vision to work within a busy social work team at Southend Hospital.
You must be able to work within a pressurised environment and be flexible with working to ensure the core hours are covered. They are currently looking for a worker to cover Monday - Friday (37 hours per week) covering the two areas of the discharge from hospital system.
This post is to support with discharge planning and admission avoidance in Southend Hospital, requiring attention to a strengths based approach

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful on this position you need to have a social work qualification and be registered with the HCPC. Previous experience of working with within the adults sector is essential for this job as is the ability to write up assessments and make judgements quickly and effectively.
You must have also completed your ASYE.
