We are seeking a qualified Spanish teacher to teach Spanish at a secondary school in Bristol from September 2019. This Spanish teacher position is full-time and the school welcomes applicants from experienced and newly qualified Spanish teachers. As a Spanish teacher at the school you will be teaching Spanish to pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4. There will also be opportunities to teach Spanish at Key Stage 2.
The role is full-time but a part-time Spanish teacher will also be considered. Any newly qualified teacher appointed would be supported with a reduced timetable, a professional mentor and a strong commitment to their professional development.
To be considered for this role you must:
* Hold QTS status
* Have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the Spanish curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience of Key Stage 2 is advantageous but not essential)
* Have the ability to work collaboratively within a well-established and driven Humanities Department
We have a long-lasting partnership with this all-through 3 to 16 academy in South Bristol which was Graded Ofsted ‘Good’ with Outstanding SLT. The academy is organised into three phases with Phase 2 and Phase 3 being dedicated to pupils from Years 5 to 11.
The school became an Aademy in 2013 and has gone from strength to strength with Ofsted noting that ‘the leadership provided by the Chief Executive is Outstanding’. The Academy Leaders, the governors, the parent groups, the community and pupils have all worked extremely hard as a team to create a successful ethos in the academy. The school has been awarded both the Gold Parent Engagement Award from SSAT and the Employability Charter Mark.
