ABOUT THE ROLE

SEN Teacher / SEND Teacher / Special Needs Teacher / Special Educational Needs Teacher

Full-time position to begin in September 2019

Will be teaching primary-aged students with a range of needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, developmental delay

Will be working as part of a team alongside experienced teaching assistants and therapists

Long-term role with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate

Daily rate starting from £140 dependent on experience

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

SEN primary school in Southwark

Caters for children with Autism and associate needs

Ofsted rated ‘Good’

Supportive and passionate senior leadership team

Small class sizes with 4 support staff in each class

Students are aged 4-11 years old

Multiple therapists to work with the children

Close to a number of transport links

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, THE SEN TEACHER / SEND TEACHER / SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHER / SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS TEACHER WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree

Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Suitable for NQTs and O/S candidates

Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum

Previous experience with SEN students

Previous experience working with primary aged students

Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
