Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings, and we have recently launched a new system that will revolutionise how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. Our Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of test strips and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes have an exciting new opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotions Specialist to join the team.

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Advertising & Promotion), combines knowledge of scientific, regulatory and business issues to enable promotional materials created and distributed in the EMEA region to meet required legislation and Abbott standards. This position requires an ability to understand and evaluate competing perspectives and provide clear regulatory guidance.

Whilst your primary responsibilities include the review and approval of promotional materials for Abbott marketed products, you will also be responsible for keeping current with industry changes relating to advertising and promotion, interpreting new guidance to Industry, and continuing efforts to evaluate processes within Regulatory Affairs relating to the promotion of Abbott products in EMEA.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), and bring a strong RA background in the Medical Device or IVD field. You will bring proven experience in the specialism of advertising and promotions approval from a regulatory perspective, be detail orientated, and demonstrate proven ability to negotiate with other departments to meet mutual requirements. Experience of working with regulatory frameworks outside the EU is desirable, but not essential.
