OVERVIEW: - 12 months Fixed Term Contract:

Butlin’s provides holidays to over a million people each year - and the Butlin’s IT Team main objective is help our Team at Butlins to deliver these. The way we aim to do this includes ensuring that all new systems are capable of supporting growth - making sure they are scalable, robust, cost effective and enhance the guests experience. We also aim to deliver the tools required to help create a fulfilling team experience and enable the business to make timely, accurate and relevant management decisions.
The MIS SQL Reporting Analyst / Developer is a member of a team who support the MIS needs of the Butlins business. This role includes:
Involvement in the Analysis and Specification of reports and datasets
Development of these reports and datasets to meet the needs of the Business units
To assist with the running of routine procedures to meet operational schedules
To ensure that users achieve the optimum use of information
The support of the Reporting Daily Processes

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The MIS SQL Reporting Analyst / Developer areas of specific responsibility covers:
Support of existing datasets and reports
Development of new reports and datasets
Work with other members of the Butlins IT Team when requirements gathering and specifying new reporting requirements
Ad-hoc queries requested by the Business Units
Involvement in process development to drive best practise and performance of our reporting systems
Other tasks as necessary to support the Butlins team

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

The following are required skills:
Microsoft SQL ideally 2016 - minimum of 3 years SQL experience
Data warehouse experience
Experience writing and tuning SQL Queries
Analysis of existing SQL Queries which require tuning and modifications
Reporting Services and Visual Studio
Creating Database Objects Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, etc.
Must take a pro-active approach and be a team player
Experience with SSAS Cubes
The following are desirable skills:
Experience writing Dynamic SQL
XML is an advantage
SQL Server Integration Services
SQL Server Analysis Services
VB / VBA knowledge
Oracle experience
Qlikview
SAS
Supporting a busy Marcoms team by providing insightful information
Requirements gathering and BA Processes
