Our Environment, Maritime & Resilience business provides a focus for advising our clients on sustainability issues including renewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climate change and waste and resource management. Our environmental capabilities comprise of in excess of 1000 staff based predominantly in the UK, but with reach into the Middle East and in India.

We currently have an opportunity for a Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Professional to join our team in London .

The primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of comprehensive and innovative communications, public consultation and stakeholder engagement for a major rail client. This is a permanent full-time position.

With some experience in stakeholder engagement and community relations, you will have examples of how you have supported the delivery of communications for infrastructure projects. This will include working with external stakeholders as well as multi-disciplinary project teams.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels and building strong relationships, both internally and externally. We need to be proactive and anticipate potential issues and work to resolve these quickly.

The role will include:

Supporting communications and engagement activities;

Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

Helping to produce editorial copy, press releases, reports, presentations, publications and engagement supporting materials;

Responding to public enquiries

Event management


Essential Criteria

Experience in an engagement or communication discipline;

Outstanding written and verbal skills;

Excellent organisational and time management skills;

Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills

A degree or equivalent qualification in communications, public relations or similar discipline;

Relevant work experience which demonstrates your knowledge of communications and engagement;

Experience in infrastructure or major projects
