Supervising Social Worker Wanted to join our well renowned Fostering Division in London - covering Maternity Leave

This is a working from home position, 9 - 5.30pm, which will include travel for meetings to our London office approx. twice a month

Fostering Support Group (FSG) (part of CareTech) has been placing children and young people with families for more than 20 years in London and South East England. We are dedicated to supporting our foster carers to the highest standards, and focus on meeting the needs and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in our care. We are seeking a proactive, caring, compassionate and committed Supervising Social Worker to manage a caseload of experience Foster Carers in the London area, covering maternity leave and continue providing a high quality service to our young people.

Whilst the role of a Supervising Social Worker offers variety and training, it takes a courageous and committed individual to really succeed at the role - within the role you will also be expected to cover a vast area so it is essential that you hold a full driving licence. It would be beneficial if you have experience working within an IFA, in tandem with a positive attitude, friendly persona and a caring yet straight-talking nature in order to succeed.

You will be tasked supervising and supporting carers in the area, and will be responsible for attending training and support groups. The Supervising Social Worker will report to the Registered Manager based in London.

The chosen Supervising Social Worker will hold a Social Work Qualification and the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people, parents and carers. You will also have the ability to write comprehensive reports onto a database, be flexible and be able to take part in an OOH's rota (phone support).
