We are looking for a Support Worker (bank) who has an insight into working in the family home and the ability to adapt to this unique working environment. Are you compassionate, patient, friendly and empathetic? Are you the kind of person who wants to add real value to someone’s life? Do you have excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy? If this sounds like you, we can offer you an interesting opportunity.
You will be part of a small team providing high quality care and support to an intelligent man who is recovering from a stroke. Our Service User continues his rehabilitation programme at home with support from family and professionals alike. He is very determined to gain as much independence as is possible and will push himself to achieve his goals. Our Service User has many interests including cooking, gardening and outdoor activities. You will assist in facilitating his aspirations, social activities and interests, and undertaking small projects eg. upcycling a chair. A driving licence is essential.
Shifts are generally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and sleepovers, often allocated weeks in advance.
