Block is currently in an exciting period of accelerated growth and we are looking for an experienced recruiter to lead the charge and play a critical role in our success story. You will be managing the execution of our recruitment strategy with responsibility for finding, attracting and hiring top tech talent for our organisation. The ideal person will be a self-starter, passionate about tech and understands how it can be applied across various stacks and environments. Autonomous and detail driven in approach, you will continually shape the processes required to identify and hire exceptional people and influence the way we recruit. Delivering a positive and seamless candidate experience is important to us. We are looking for someone who loves sourcing and engaging candidates and managing their experience all the way through the recruitment process.
Build and nurture a talent pipeline via a proactive multi-sourcing approach, including; LinkedIn, job boards, social media platforms, resume data mining and more
Partner effectively with key managers to define requirements and provide advice
Responsible for providing the best candidate experience from first contact to closing an offer.
Take charge of drafting optimised job descriptions and advertisements, leveraging employer brand and tone of voice
Work with Block employees to identify potential candidates within their networks
Manage candidate’s recruitment process via our applicant tracking system
Present status and market trend reports to Senior Leadership Team and report on key performance indicators of recruitment activities
Improve recruitment processes, identifying ways to streamline and make more efficient

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
Ability to build strong relationships and rapport with employees and candidates
A passion for providing an excellent candidate experience combined with a knack for managing internal expectations
Hands on problem solver with high quality standards and strong time management skills
Results orientated approach with a growth mindset, willing to innovate and take informed risks to make improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
3+ years recruitment experience in the tech industry, working collaboratively with others either in-house or agency
Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting
Previous experience using Social Media (LinkedIn) and Direct Search to find the right candidates
Detailed understanding of database searching techniques, direct mailing processes, lead generation
Strong interviewing and negotiation skills with ability to identify candidate fit
Experience recruiting multiple roles at a face pace and in high volume.
Strong copy-write experience, for creation of attractive job descriptions and advertisements
