Description

To provide technical support to senior members of the team whilst developing professional skills. The role is critical to ensure a high quality and consistent service is provided to our clients. Duties within the role are ever changing, challenging and provide the opportunity to broaden knowledge in a wide range of local and international tax issues on a daily basis.
Responsibilities

To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of a wide variety of tax services to the client
Build and maintain tax relationships both within the EY network and externally with clients to provide exceptional client service
Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with clients
Demonstrate basic understanding of a wide range of industries or sectors and be aware of technical issues or tax risks
Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the clients’ business
Stay up to date with international tax legislation developments
Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients
Contribute ideas/opinions to the tax teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
Promote EY’s ethical and professional standards, including data confidentially, in particular externally
Experience/Qualifications
Must be CA qualified
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the industry
Must be IT literate and receptive to new IT developments
Team player – ability to integrate with new teams quickly
Commercially aware with a general interest in business and finance
A degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet the client or department needs and deadlines
Effective time management – ability to remain calm when under pressure
Quick learner – able and willing to carry out a range of client and technical work
Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output
Good written and oral communication skills
Robust logical and reasoning skills
