Description

Job purpose:
To provide technical support to senior members of the team whilst developing your professional skills. The role is critical to ensure a high quality and consistent service is provided to our clients. Duties within the role are ever changing, challenging and provide the opportunity to broaden knowledge in a wide range of local, UK and international tax issues on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of a wide variety of tax services to clients
Build and maintain relationships both within the EY network and externally with clients to provide exceptional client service
Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication
Demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of industries / sectors and be aware of technical issues and tax risks
Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to our clients' businesses
Stay up to date with tax legislation developments
Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and building relationships with new clients
Contribute ideas and opinions to the tax team and listen/respond to other team members’ views
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery
Experience / Qualifications required:
Must be ACCA / ACA or ATT / CTA qualified (or similar)
Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in tax
Must be IT literate and receptive to new IT developments
Team player - ability to integrate with new teams
Commercially aware with a general interest in business and finance
A degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet the client or department needs and deadlines
Effective time management Good written and oral communication skills
