About the Role


We are seeking a Lean Manufacturing Technical Expert within our Logistics department. Reporting to the Head of Production System you will be responsible for driving strategic and transformation programmes within the manufacturing function. Key responsibilities include:


Defining and driving the implementation, development and refinement of manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement programmes, encompassing a wide range of topics including quality, productivity, vehicle launch and human resources.


Coaching strategic project leaders, including the design and facilitation of improvement workshops and strategy rollout activities.


Monitoring and reporting on return on investment, cost saving and waste reduction.


Acting as a Technical Expert on continuous improvement activities including kaizen, six sigma and lean manufacturing.


About the Person


The successful candidate will be operating at subject matter expert or management level within a manufacturing or production environment. We would be interested in talking to candidates in the following roles: Lean Manufacturing Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Lean Manufacturing Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Consultant and Lean Expert. Automotive industry experience would be advantageous. You will be highly skilled in the application of lean manufacturing techniques and tools and will demonstrate substantial experience of driving process improvements.


You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage and influence a broad range of cross functional stakeholders, working collaboratively.


You will be a commercial and strategic thinker with the ability to identify and develop improvement opportunities.


You will have exceptional project management skills and will be analytical and measured in your approach.


You will be proactive and resilient in the face of adversity.
