Technical Officer
A client of mine in Central London is looking for a Technical Officer to join their team for a period of 3 months, this post is key in working closely and collaboratively with the Health Safety Department and other sections such as Fire, the DLO and Compliance.
Main Duties
* Comprehensively maintain the electronic HS inbox using initiative to take actions where appropriate, flag issues and co-ordinate tasks and responses, monitoring and "following-up" all actions to ensure completion.
* View accidents/incidents on the AIRS/other systems and support colleagues as necessary with queries; review responses and send reminders in a timely manner
* Manage and issue the ERO rota in a proactive and timely manner
* Provide related management and support, working with HS colleagues
* Help investigate and review ERO-related incidents
* Answering resident queries in timely and efficient manner
* Forwarding FRA and Asbestos reports as necessary
* Being fully conversant with Geometra, to provide this information
* Lone Working device management including liaison with supplier
* Lone working device issue and recall including managing on-line portal for devices
* Assisting with lone working device training and usage
* Checking HS in-box for PTW requests
* Assisting with issue of RFI document to PTW applicants
* Assisting with preparation of PTW applications for review by colleague or HS Officer
* Liaising with PTW applicants for further information
* PTW issue and completion duties
* Compilation/management of Risk Assessments;
* Ordering of PPE
* Issue and logging of PPE
* Stock management of PPE
* Manage and issue the RA templates/assessments to colleagues in a proactive and timely manner
* Help with RA returns including reminders to managers for due and overdue RAs
* Provide related management and support, working with HS colleagues
* Considerable experience in the provision of wide-ranging high-quality executive support.
* Experience and/or qualification and/or training in project management
* Substantial experience and/or qualification and/or training in administration
* Ability to identify solutions to complex issues and to exercise strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence others in order to achieve positive outcomes, creating ownership of them among key audiences
* Excellent Customer Service Skills
