Internal Sales: Temperature Sensors: Sheffield
Our client is an expert in the field of manufacturing and calibration of temperature sensors for demanding applications. They deliver temperature measurement solutions to the aerospace, automotive, aluminium, glass industries and other sectors.

Role + Responsibilities:

As Technical Sales Engineer, you will be required to work in the UK Internal Sales Team providing sales support to customers.

Main responsibilities:

Handle incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email.
Prequalify customers’ technical and commercial requirements.
Produce clear and accurate quotations.
Follow up open opportunities with customers to negotiate quotation and close sale.
Prioritise workload and self-manage activities whilst keeping supervisor informed.
Work closely with all departments to develop and improve customer performance.
Carry out contract review to ensure accurate processing of orders.
Own and manage customer accounts including database maintenance and adherence to credit control procedures.
Enhance product knowledge via formal training, on the job training, and e-learning.

Qualification + Profile:

Ideally educated to HNC level or above - or equivalent relevant industry qualification.
Must have English language and Maths GCSE.
Previous work experience in the Heat Treatment industry or with Thermocouples / Temperature measurement instrumentation is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high regard for exceptional customer service.
Computer literate.
Able to multi-task.
Able to work under pressure.
Must be able to work as a team member and an individual.
Prioritise and organise own work.
Questioning techniques.
Consultative selling approach.
