THE COMPANY

Out client design, develop and manufacture bespoke handling equipment and systems for the aerospace and military industries.
In terms of the culture, it has a very warm/welcoming feel to the place, the type of place you walk into and everyone smiles.

THE REQUIREMENT

We are helping our client to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to manage a small team of five Sales Engineers.
Our client has long-standing clients and relationships, so this isn't necessarily a sales focused role, it is much more focused on the management of the team and getting the best out of them.
It would be fair to say the split between management and technical sales/formulating proposals is approx.
70/30 split, so it really requires someone who has good experience building and managing teams of sales people, it doesn't necessarilly have to be technical, getting the best out of people will be the key.


YOUR BACKGROUND

This is a technical engineering role, so you will need to come from an engineering background:

Timeserved, HNC\HND in Engineering or Degree qualified.
Although flexible on this.
Experience working in an engineering role, either technical or commercial formulating proposals.
Good experience working in a commercial engineering role, although if you feel you have the commercial awareness and communication skills don't hesitate to apply.
Proven experience or people management, ideally managing a sales team where you have been focused on getting the best out of your team.
Friendly, driven and approachable.
Positive and energetic approach essential.
